Solving stochastic OLG (Overlapping Generation) models using VFI Toolkit in Matlab

Abstract

Explain how to solve OLG models easily in Matlab using the VFI Toolkit. This is a new feature of the VFI Toolkit and allows users to easily solve OLG models while automatically taking advantage of parallel computing (including on graphics card). Solves OLG models that are stochastic and general equilibrium. Allows for individual heterogeneity, but no aggregate shocks. Codes to solve OLG have been written. Examples on their use are in process of being created.
