Abstract

Les Žvolutions qui ont caractŽrisŽ le marchŽ du travail se sont traduites par de substantielles modifications de la composition des revenus des mŽnages et ont pu affecter l'inŽgalitŽ de la rŽpartition de ces revenus. Notre objectif est d'analyser l'Žvolution de la contribution des diffŽrentes sources de revenus ˆ l'inŽgalitŽ du revenu total ˆ la lumire des Žvolutions intervenues sur le marchŽ du travail. Le champ de cette Žtude couvre la pŽriode allant de la fin des annŽes septante au dŽbut des annŽes nonante et s'Žtend ˆ plusieurs pays. La mŽthodologie utilisŽe est celle de la dŽcomposition d'un indice synthŽtique d'inŽgalitŽ (indice de Gini) par sources de revenus. Les rŽsultats de cette Žtude, en particulier ceux qui concernent les transferts dont la part dans le revenu a augmentŽ mais qui semblent devenus moins redistributifs, montrent la nŽcessitŽ d'intŽgrer en une mme problŽmatique les politiques en faveur du marchŽ du travail et l'avenir du systme de protection sociale.
