Abstract

Este trabajo realiza una primera aproximación, mediante la técnica del Análisis Envolvente de Datos (DEA), respecto a la medida de la eficiencia técnica, en su labor docente, de las unidades funcionales pertenecientes a la rama de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas de las nueve universidades públicas de Andalucía. Este estudio ayuda a explicar los aspectos más relevantes (ventajas y/o debilidades) de las unidades evaluadas. De esta manera, nuestra investigación ofrece un modelo que puede ayudar a la toma de decisiones por parte de los órganos de gobierno de esta importante Comunidad Autónoma, en la medida en que suministra información detallada y objetiva de las causas de las (in)eficiencia(s) de las áreas de conocimiento en su labor docente.
