Bericht über die Bedeutung, Entwicklung und Struktur der österreichischen Tourismus- und Freizeitwirtschaft im Jahr 2015

Abstract

Laut TSA-Konzept erreichten die Tourismusaufwendungen von in- und ausländischen Reisenden in Österreich 2015 38,39 Mrd. € (Schätzung; +5,0% gegenüber 2014). Die daraus resultierenden direkten und indirekten Wertschöpfungseffekte machten 24,11 Mrd. € aus (+4,3%) und trugen 7,1% zum BIP bei. Zusammen mit den Effekten des nichttouristischen Freizeitkonsums der inländischen Bevölkerung am Wohnort erwirtschaftete die gesamte Tourismus- und Freizeitwirtschaft in Österreich 2015 direkt und indirekt 45,75 Mrd. € (+3,7%), ihr Beitrag zum BIP erreichte 13,5% (+0,1 Prozentpunkt). Die realen Einnahmen Österreichs aus dem internationalen Reiseverkehr (Tourismusexporte) stiegen 2015 um 4,2%, nachdem sie in den letzten Jahren stagniert hatten. Auch der Binnenreiseverkehr wuchs preisbereinigt erstmals seit 2009 wieder (+2,2%). Die realen Tourismuseinnahmen erhöhten sich daher insgesamt nach dem leichten Rückgang 2013 und 2014 um 3,7%. Im internationalen Vergleich gewann Österreich 2015 – gemessen an den nominellen Tourismusexporten der EU 15 – erstmals seit 2009 wieder Marktanteile. Mit 5,80% lag der Marktanteil noch immer um knapp 0,6 Prozentpunkte unter dem Wert von 2009, jedoch deutlich über dem bisher niedrigsten Wert (2000: 5,36%).
