Beschäftigungsentwicklung im Telekommunikationssektor nach der Liberalisierung

Abstract

Die Liberalisierung des österreichischen Telekom-Sektors hatte massive Veränderungen der Beschäftigung und der Marktdynamik zur Folge. Insgesamt sank die Beschäftigung zwischen 1998 und 2003 leicht, am stärksten im Jahr 2000. Während im Festnetzsegment Arbeitsplätze abgebaut wurden, verdreifachten die Mobilfunkanbieter ihren Personalstand nahezu. Die Studie stellt diese Veränderungen der Beschäftigung vor dem Hintergrund der Entwicklung von Investitionen, Umsätzen, Preisen und Personalkosten für die großen und einige kleinere Telekom-Anbieter dar. Für die weitere Entwicklung der Arbeitskräftenachfrage werden die Wettbewerbssituation sowie das Investitions- und Innovationsverhalten ausschlaggebend sein.
