Globalización y regiones. El diálogo Asia-América latina y el Caribe

Abstract

A raíz del Brexit, el estudio y evaluación de los acuerdos de integración regional se han intensificado. Para muchos analistas, este hecho sumado al de la renegociación del Nafta y al del retiro de Estados Unidos del Tratado Trans-Pacífico hacen que se avizore una decadencia del proceso integracionista. En este libro se demuestra, por el contrario, el dinamismo de la integración regional y su importancia para el desarrollo económico y social de los países; dado que Asia lidera ahora el proceso en el contexto mundial, también se explican las modalidades de cooperación entre ese continente y América Latina y el Caribe, y se presentan los lineamientos programáticos para diversificar la política exterior de la región, de tal modo que pueda mejorar su participación en la nueva estructura del sistema mundial. En tiempos de incertidumbre, se ofrecen alternativas al marginamiento latinoamericano y caribeño en la gobernanza global.
