Zunehmende Bedeutung von Grundbildung und Weiterbildung für Geringqualifizierte
[The increasing importance of literacy courses and further training for the low-skilled]

Abstract

Die Digitalisierung und der demografische Wandel stellen Unternehmen immer wieder vor neue Herausforderungen. Der daraus resultierende Veränderungsdruck spiegelt sich auch in den wachsenden Anforderungen an geringqualifizierte Beschäftigte wider. Aus der aktuellen IW-Unternehmensbefragung, die Ende 2022 im Rahmen des Projekts "AlphaGrund vernetzt" vom Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft durchgeführt wurde, geht hervor, dass Unternehmen künftig mit höheren Anforderungen an geringqualifizierte Beschäftigte rechnen. Diese Tendenz ist insbesondere bei Unternehmen zu erkennen, die große Schwierigkeiten bei der Rekrutierung von Personal haben. Um dem Wandel bestmöglich begegnen zu können, ist es für diese Unternehmen von Vorteil, ihre Beschäftigten flexibel einsetzen zu können. Das zeigen auch die Rückmeldungen der Unternehmen. Als häufigster Grund für die Durchführung von Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen bei Geringqualifizierten wird der Bedarf an breiteren Einsatzmöglichkeiten der Mitarbeitenden genannt. Für Unternehmen mit Rekrutierungsproblemen ist die Mitarbeiterbindung und -motivation der wichtigste Grund. Diese Unternehmen bieten insgesamt auch in höherem Maß Weiterbildung für Geringqualifizierte und Grundbildung an. Zudem finden bei diesen Unternehmen digitale Lernangebote in der Arbeitswelt deutlich stärkeren Anklang.
