Abstract

Der Beitrag geht der Frage nach den Folgen von Internationalisierungsprozessen kleiner und mittlerer Unternehmen (KMU) für deren Betriebliche Sozialordnung nach. Als charakteristisch für kleinere und mittlere Unternehmen wird dabei der starke Bezug von Geschäftsführung und Beschäftigten auf den eigenen Betrieb gesehen, der mitunter als eine Art gemeinsames Projekt verstanden wird. Mithilfe des von Kotthoff und Reindl eingeführten Konzepts der Betrieblichen Sozialordnung wird anhand von vier empirischen Fällen aus dem Maschinen- und Anlagenbau argumentiert, dass die Gründung einer Auslandsniederlassung die Betriebliche Sozialordnung kleiner und mittlerer Unternehmen unter Druck geraten lässt, was in der Folge dazu führen kann, dass integrativ-gemeinschaftliche Sozialordnungen einen stärker instrumentalistischen Charakter annehmen.
