Veränderte Lagegunst durch die Ostöffnung? Zur Entwicklung der Standortmuster in Österreich nach 1990

Abstract

Über Jahrzehnte wies das regionale Wachstumsmuster in Österreich ein ausgeprägtes West-Ost-Gefälle auf, das aus der geopolitischen Lage des Landes am "Eisernen Vorhang" resultierte. Nach der Ostöffnung zeigt sich eine Aufwertung der unmittelbaren Grenzgebiete, aber keine grundlegende Veränderung der Standortgunst in Österreich.
