Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den Tarifverhandlungen der Metall- und Elektroindustrie forderte die Arbeitgeberseite eine Ausweitung der Tageshöchstarbeitszeit und die Arbeitnehmerseite eine flexible Arbeitszeitverkürzung mit partiellem Lohnausgleich. Allerdings deuten die Arbeitsmarktdaten darauf hin, dass eine Flexibilisierung der Arbeitszeiten in den letzten Jahren bereits stattgefunden hat und weitere Schritte hier nicht dringend geboten sind. Mögliche Ansatzpunkte wären jedoch eine Weiterentwicklung der Regelungen zu Arbeitszeitkonten und zur Heimarbeit.
