Abstract

Zusammenfassung Als interdisziplinär und visionär agierender Ökonom setzte sich Arnold Picot mit vielfältigen Themen auseinander – sowohl in der Forschung wie auch in der Lehre und als Mentor. Schwerpunkte bildeten dabei die Organisationsforschung sowie in den letzten Jahren v. a. die Zukunft und die Veränderung der Arbeit. Organisation verstand er als Governance i.S. der Steuerung von Transaktionen unabhängig von Unternehmensgrenzen, die es situativ zu gestalten, mit der Strategie abzustimmen und i.S. von Anreizkompatibilität an neue Herausforderungen anzupassen galt. In Bezug auf Arbeit interessierten ihn v. a. die Veränderungen auf Arbeitsmärkten sowie die Frage der zukünftig relevanten Kompetenzen.
