The catalogue of Piero Sraffa’s library: what can we learn from a bibliophile and his philological rigor?

Abstract

In this review of the catalogue of Piero Sraffa’s library, painstakingly edited by Giancarlo De Vivo, we highlight the traces of Sraffa’s personal trajectory. We also focus on his bibliophilia, philological rigor and erudition, exemplified by his superb edition of the works and correspondence of David Ricardo.
