Socioeconomic Determinants of Attitudes Toward Bioengineered Products

Abstract

Results from a 1988 survey were analyzed to determine the statistical relationships between socioeconomic characteristics and attitudes toward bioengineering. Education and gender were associated with consumers' attitudes, while geographic location, age, and income played a less prominent, yet statistically significant role.
