A fenntartható Gyergyóért : a Gyergyói Kistérség fejlesztési alternatívái

Abstract

Az alábbi esettanulmányban négy gyergyói jóbarát arra vállalkozott, hogy az évek so-rán fölhalmozott szülőföldünkkel kapcsolatos gondolatokat, elképzeléseket és vágyakat megossza. A feladat nem egyszerű, hiszen mindnyájan tapasztalhattuk, hogy sajnálatos módon, a gazdag történelmi múlt ellenére a rendszerváltás kevésbé a vidéknek, sokkal inkább a nagyvárosoknak kedvezett, melyek kialakították saját vonzáskörzetüket és a lehetőségek, a kinyíló kapuk tárházával szembenéző Gyergyói Kistérség nem a fejlődés, a prosperitás, hanem sokkal inkább a degradáció útjára lépett. Az elhúzódó társadalmi-gazdasági átmenet, az elhibázott, megkésett közösségi reformok Gyergyó vidékét Székelyföld hátrányos helyzetű térségei közé taszították, ahol mindmáig sajnálatos módon a fiatalság, az elkövetkezendő nemzedékek számára nem egy dinamikus, hanem sokkal inkább egy nehezen működő, útkereső térség képe tűnik vissza. Csüggedésre azonban ne legyen okunk, hiszen véleményünk szerint a gazdag természeti és kulturális örökség, a helyi közösségek összetartása, az egyre inkább erősödő gazdasági és civil társadalom, a generációk váltása közepette igenis van lehetőség a reményekkel teli jövő, a fenntartható Gyergyói Kistérség létrehozására.
