Abstract

La informalidad sigue siendo uno de los mayores problemas que enfrentan las economías alrededor del mundo; no sólo por sus implicaciones negativas en las finanzas públicas, sino más aún, por sus consecuencias atroces en el bienestar de la clase trabajadora y sus familias. Se trata pues de la “precarización del empleo”, fenómeno que margina a los trabajadores, los aleja de la seguridad social y los esclaviza con salarios miserables que los conduce a la pobreza. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la dinámica de la informalidad en México, brindando datos actualizados que describen el fenómeno y ampliando el panorama de las implicaciones económicas y sociales que éste conlleva. Destacamos la actuación del Estado ante este problema inminente y se plantean una serie de propuestas encauzadas a mitigar sus efectos.
