Abstract

****** This article presents the results of a research project funded by the Endowment Fund for Research of the Universidad del Magdalena - FONCIENCIAS, whose title refers to the “Design of the logistics chain solid waste industry plantain slices export in the province of Magdalena”. For this, methodologically raised the general procedure of diagnosis of the supply chain, based on models for managing supply chain proposed by Scott and Westbrook (1998), Mentzer (2001) and normative model for managing Ballou (1991). Facilitating the generation of a new business strategy, economic and environmentally sufficient to enable profit maximization and improve the quality of life of the chain actors .Finally, for the scope of this aim, we proceed to perform a characterization, analysis and detailed evaluation of the agents that constitute and influence the logistics chain in question.
