La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial: gestión estratégica para la supervivencia de las empresas

Abstract

Este artículo de reflexión analiza la responsabilidad social como continua fuente de polémicas y controversias porlos beneficios que brinda a las empresas que se han comprometido con prácticas sociales. Sin embargo, muchasno lo hacen, quizás por desconocimiento o por considerarla un gasto innecesario y sin retorno. Pero lo cierto esque la responsabilidad social exige gestión, la cual debe incluir indicadores que permitan evaluar tales actividadesy motivar a los lectores a la reflexión y el interés por lograr su implementación como parte de la estrategia empresarial,que además pueda ser vista como una de las razones de un posible fracaso por no haber asumido uncompromiso serio con la sociedad en general. Al artículo no plantea una solución única, ni una actitud que debetomar un directivo en particular, ni mucho menos una obligación que deben asumir las empresas, es la necesidadde que la incluyan en su planeación a largo plazo.
