Efectos políticos de la reducción del subsidio a la gasolina en Venezuela entre 1989 y 2014: un abordaje desde el análisis de sistemas políticos de Easton

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo identificar los efectos políticos de la reducción del subsidio a la gasolina en Venezuela entre 1989 y 2014, bajo la premisa de que dicho subsidio no ha sido redimensionado. Para lograrlo, la metodología incluye una revisión bibliográfica y un uso de la hermenéutica para interpretar los postulados de David Easton, lo que permitió concluir que la estabilidad política en Venezuela depende de la relación entre las demandas del ambiente y las decisiones de las autoridades. Dichas demandas ejercieron una presión constante que ocasionó que las autoridades no sacrificaran los beneficios presentes por las ganancias futuras que supondría el aumento del precio de la gasolina.
