La métropolisation, horizon indépassable de la croissance économique ?

Abstract

L' idée selon laquelle le soutien à quelques métropoles serait le meilleur moyen de renforcer la croissance économique de la France s'est assez largement diffusée dans le monde académique ces dernières années. Elle se fonde principalement sur des analyses de l'évolution relative des PIB régionaux par habitant et sur des travaux économétriques relevant de l'économie géographique. L'objectif de cet article est de mettre en débat les arguments avancés.
