Investment funds and portfolio of loan guarantees as financial steps proposals to support innovative Small and Medium Enterprises

Abstract

In order to fully beneficiate of the results of research and development innovations, young SMEs and startups need to be supported in early development stages through direct and indirect interventions. The following proposals are based on the analysis of the financial market failures and the corresponding priorities set by the Partnership Agreement signed between Romania and the European Commission, as well as the objectives of the approved operational programs related to the financial instruments financed by the European Structural Funds and Investment.
