Abstract

This chapter sets a background by introducing key concepts across various related topics including Service Quality, Competitive Advantage in quality, Continuous Improvement, Organizational learning, Lean, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma (LSS). This chapter familiarizes the readers with these backgrounds so that, even if the reader does not have any pre-requisite knowledge about Quality Management, should be able to understand the rest of the contents of the book easily.
