Abstract

This case study, "Emaze Gaming—Innovating Soft Skills Assessment through Gaming," explores the resilient business model of Emaze Gaming, a pioneering startup transforming the human resources sector. It addresses critical inefficiencies in traditional soft skills assessment, such as lengthy evaluation times, high costs, and subjective outcomes. Emaze Gaming’s solution is Behaveme: a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that leverages psychological video games and artificial intelligence to offer a rapid, objective, and cost-effective method for evaluating candidates’ soft skills and behavioural compatibility. The case highlights the key benefits provided to HR managers: a drastic reduction in assessment times (from weeks to minutes), significant cost savings, and improved team synergy, leading to reduced turnover. The chapter details the underlying technology, particularly the “Behaveme” platform, which uses proprietary video games and an AI Agent to simulate job-relevant scenarios and instantly generate detailed skill assessments. Emaze Gaming’s vision to revolutionise global talent identification—moving from resume-based to instant skill verification—positions it as a resilient and adaptive business that provides a competitive advantage by addressing fundamental HR challenges and fostering a more efficient and meritocratic hiring landscape.
