Abstract

Spain | Monica Vallejo has been running Hostal Grau since 1993, a unique green sustainable hotel concept in Barcelona. Thanks to the recent Leed Gold Certification, Hostal Grau is now a referent in Barcelona for sustainable hotels. They use non-toxic materials and certified wood in the hostel construction and purify the air with a new OH radical natural cleansing system. Proud of being the first hotel in Spain to have a room with electromagnetic wave reduction. Monica believes that a sustainable hotel is more than just respecting the planet. It is also about the social responsibility to help others.
