Abstract

Egypt | Dr. Manal Kelig is the Executive Director—ATTA MENA region and the Co-Founder of GWE companies for Sustainable Tourism Development. Manal has a wide range of experience as a historian, entrepreneur, and sustainable tourism specialist, with expertise in tourism business development, industry collaboration, and customer orientation. Manal focuses on expanding the reach and impact of her work through developing and facilitating networking and professional growth opportunities with various travel organizations, media contacts, tourism boards and their representatives at all levels. She has over 20 years of work experience with sustainable tourism projects across countries with different socio-economic profiles. Throughout her career, she developed strong strategic planning and management experience that considers the multidimensional nature of tourism as well as the complexity of the stakeholder networks it involves. Manal’s diversified and extensive skills led her to consult for many leading development organizations on sustainable tourism development and cultural heritage preservation.
