Abstract

Spuścizna zadłużenia Polski, jaką przejęliśmy po poprzednim systemie ekonomicznym sprzed 1989 r., stanowi zaledwie niecałe 30% jego obecnego poziomu. Polska jest zadłużona na blisko 436 mld zł. Na kwotę polskiego zadłużenia składają się: zadłużenie krajowe i zagraniczne. Dług krajowy stanowi 308,4 mld zł, a w tym 304,1 mld zł to skarbowe papiery wartościowe. Zadłużenie zagraniczne wynosi 127,6 mld zł, z czego 82,2 mld to obligacje zagraniczne, zaś kredyty (Klub Paryski, międzynarodowe instytucje finansowe, w tym Bank Światowy) zwiększają nasze długi zagraniczne 0 45,5 mld zł. Biorąc pod uwagę liczbę mieszkańców, na każdego Polaka przypadało w lipcu 2005 r. około 11 170 zł tzw. długu skarbu Państwa.
