El turismo como factor de reconversión productiva local en la ciudad de Federación, Argentina

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación realizado a partir del análisis de caso de la ciudad de Federación, Argentina, que comprendió el periodo 1990/2000, pretendió probar empíricamente que el turismo es un factor de reconversión productiva local con posibilidades de constituirse en una nueva estrategia que permita impulsar el desarrollo de aquellas localidades poseedoras de potencial turístico para lograr la mejora de la calidad de vida de la comunidad. Para su demostración se incluyó un análisis comparativo entre los factores tradicionales de producción y el turismo, a partir del análisis de las siguientes variables: generación de ingresos económicos, crecimiento de empresas y generación de puestos de trabajo. Asimismo se consideró y analizó la existencia e implementación de algún tipo de estrategia para el desarrollo del turismo y si ésta generó un incremento en la oferta y la demanda turística, así como en la generación de nuevos empleos.
