Abstract

Empiezo esta editorial con esta cita del lúcido pensador de nuestra América Latina, Ailton Krenak, porque quería recuperar algunas cuestiones sobre el turismo: su relación con el ocio, la recreación y el trabajo. Cuando organizamos un viaje, podemos tener muchas razones por las cuales elegimos un destino determinado, como desconectar de nuestro trajinado presente. De hecho, para ciertas personas viajar es la forma de experimentar su propio "yo auténtico" (Wang, 1999) porque es el momento en el que se pueden relajar, volver a ser uno/a misma/o lejos de las preocupaciones y ritmos de un presente, que en algunos contextos, es hiperproductivo, consumista e inmediato. Actualmente, tener un momento de ocio y recreación, además de ser una experiencia disruptiva, es un lujo más de lo que suponía ser, un derecho a tener vacaciones y cortar con el tiempo laboral (Pastoriza, 2011).
