La construcción de imaginarios turísticos del “campo” en el Municipio de Lobos, provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la conformación de imaginarios turísticos del campo a partir de las políticas de promoción de la Dirección de Turismo del Municipio de Lobos. Se utiliza como caso empírico el Municipio de Lobos en la provincia de Buenos Aires en función de su trayectoria turística y del actual proceso de diversificación que incluye la promoción del turismo rural, convirtiéndose en un caso interesante para observar el fenómeno de construcción de imaginarios impulsado por los procesos de valorización rural. A partir del análisis de las estrategias de promoción del distrito como “lugar turístico”, interesa dar cuenta del rol que éstas juegan en la dinámica de la conformación de imaginarios del campo. En este marco, se propone analizar las imágenes que se configuran y circulan e identificar qué sentidos y atributos (naturales, histórico-culturales, etc.) señalan estos actores locales para construir “lo rural” en el turismo lobense actual.
