Turismo metropolitano: la potencia de lo urbano

Abstract

La presente contribución da cuenta de la potencia de lo urbano en relación a la actividad turística en áreas metropolitanas de Argentina, atento las condiciones territoriales de posición y socioeconómicas de disposición que confieren accesibilidad a la diversidad de sus condiciones y atributos, tangibles e intangibles. Impronta de la cultura en el territorio, las áreas metropolitanas constituyen puerta de entrada, nodos de usufructo y acceso a entornos naturales, sustentos de disímiles y plausibles vivencias, planteando espacios e instancias singulares de presencia de lo local en lo global por la densidad social, económica y primordialmente cultural. Producto de una sociedad conformada a partir de la plural afluencia inmigratoria constituye una potencialidad no subestimable en relación al devenir de la actividad turística en Argentina y en relación a tiempos donde los flujos se imponen a los lugares y las metrópolis se constituyen en escalas prioritarias y destinos relevantes en los itinerarios del futuro.
