El turismo como estrategia de desarrollo en territorio litoral. Cuestiones socio-institucionales

Abstract

El artículo surge de la investigación “Turismo y Desarrollo: Cuestiones, Dilemas y Proposiciones”, realizada durante el período 2009-2011, Proyecto del Centro de Investigaciones Turísticas. Se analizan las cuestiones socio-institucionales en el partido de Villa Gesell (Argentina), a partir de la identificación de los actores sociales que intervienen directa o indirectamente en la actividad turística. Se realiza un estudio descriptivo y exploratorio de la situación socio-institucional. A partir del análisis de la estructura organizativa del sector turístico y las funciones que desempeñan en las diferentes jurisdicciones, y de la identificación de las instituciones turísticas más representativas, junto a la información recopilada a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas a funcionarios del sector público municipal, representantes de las agrupaciones del sector privado y del tercer sector social vinculados con la actividad turística, se realiza un diagnóstico de la situación socio-institucional. Por último, se presentan una serie de apreciaciones y proposiciones posibles de aplicar en un destino turístico litoral.
