Abstract

La contribución se plantea las grandes definiciones del desarrollo local y el turismo, desde las posiciones sostenidas por el MERCOSUR, la OMT y diferentes autores relevantes. Desde estas se realizará un análisis de un caso paradigmático como es el caso de Punta del Este tratando de establecer más allá del impacto económico si existe un desarrollo social acorde a los indicadores económicos.
