La difícil implantación de modelos de turismo sostenible en países en vías de desarrollo a través de la cooperación

Abstract

El artículo presenta un trabajo de investigación, que a través de un estudio de caso plantea las dificultades encontradas en la selección del modelo turístico más apropiado para la comunidad local de un país en vías de desarrollo. Se realiza un repaso semántico de los conceptos cooperación, desarrollo, sostenibilidad, Turismo Sostenible e indicadores de sostenibilidad. Se presenta el proyecto de ayuda técnica realizado para llevar a cabo un itinerario turístico basado en la ruta de Sandino (norte de Nicaragua), aspirando el desarrollo de las comunidades locales a través de una experiencia de turismo sostenible.
