Nursing care in post cesarean patient with severe preeclampsia at the gynecobstetrics service of the national hospital of Cajamarca

Hypertensive disorders typical of pregnancy include a range of possibilities ranging from preeclampsia (PE) to Eclampsia (E), characterized by the classic triad of arterial hypertension, proteinuria and edema, from week 20 of gestation to the immediate postpartum period. Objective, to determine the role of nursing in the care of patients after cesarean section due to severe preeclampsia. Methodology. The study has a qualitative approach, single case type, applying the nursing care process to a 27-year-old patient selected by convenience; The data collection instrument was the assessment guide according to Maryory Gordon's eleven functional patterns. Results. It was possible to recognize 7 altered nursing diagnoses, prioritizing the main nursing diagnosis (00132) Acute pain r/c physical harmful agent evidenced by facial expression of pain, expressive behavior and VAS 6/10, and as a collaboration problem the Risk of complication: hypovolemic shock. Conclusion. The clinical characteristics and risks of complications in the patient with severe preeclampsia were assessed and identified, individualized nursing interventions were planned that had favorable results in the patient's evolution, +1, +1+1 and +1, the nursing care process based on its five stages, managing to provide comprehensive quality care that allowed favorable results to be obtained in the recovery of the patient's health.
