Increase in the Incidence of Scalp and Skin Mycosis: Are Barbershops in the Spotlight?

(A high prevalence of Trychophyton Tonsurans was observed in patients with a history of contact in barbershops and treatment with terbinafine was effective. The isolation of Trichophyton Tonsurans has the action of an emerging germ in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, so carrying out a correct anamnesis and the corresponding tests together with the training of barbers, will allow confirming the mycosis and thus carrying out the treatment.
