Abstract

The present study was applied to a pregnant patient with a diagnosis of Pre-eclampsia who was hospitalized in the High Risk Obstetric Service (ARO) of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Preeclampsia is a complication of the third trimester of pregnancy that affects the fetal maternal dyad, the reason for the patient's admission to the service. Through the nursing care methodology, a humane care with quality and safe support was administered, favoring the recovery and health of the patient. The objective of the present work was to apply the nursing care process to a pregnant woman with preeclampsia based on the approach of the 11 functional patterns of Maryori Gordon. Qualitative study, single case type, which included a 25-year-old patient, in which all the stages of the Nursing Care process were followed: the assessment stage was carried out with a framework validated by experts, the elaboration stages Diagnosis and planning of nursing care was carried out taking into account the taxonomy NANADA, NOC, NIC, likewise the stages of execution and evaluation were given by the difference in final and baseline scores respectively. Nine altered patterns were found, three were prioritized: perceptual / cognitive, sexuality, reproduction and activity / exercise, likewise nine nursing diagnoses were identified, giving priority to three of them: risk of alteration of the maternal / fetal dyad, acute pain and risk of impaired tissue perfusion ineffective, according to the SSPFR format (signs and symptoms, problem, related factor / risk factor / associated with); After the care administered, a change score of +1, +1 and +1 was obtained, subsequently improving with the care. It is concluded that, once the problems in the patient were identified, the five stages of the Nursing Care Process were developed, obtaining as a result the recovery of health and survival of the maternal-fetal binomial, therefore we consider that the success of nursing care they are related to the timely identification of problems and the administration of adequate and timely treatment.
