Abstract

Introduction: new technologies bring innovations and developments in tools, equipment, systems and techniques used in automotive workshops to improve the efficiency, quality and precision of the services offered. Objective: to characterize aspects related to technological advances in the automotive sector. Method: a review of the available bibliography in databases such as SciELO, Scopus and ClinicalKey was carried out, from which a total of 16 related articles were consulted, empirical methods such as logical history and analysis and synthesis were used. Results: advances may include computer diagnostic technologies, advanced manufacturing tools, software-based management systems, among others. Greater competitiveness and innovation in the face of new demands mean that the current state of the technologies must be studied and analyzed. Innovation and the constant projection towards a change where the improvement of skills must be sought must be taken into account in each field of the industry. Regarding customer service, technology has also had a positive impact. The training and education of personnel in the automotive sector is essential to guarantee a quality service to users. Conclusions: there is a wide variety of adoption of new technologies related to the automotive industry that in various ways favor the quality of the manufactured product, as well as the training of personnel associated with its manufacture to guarantee a better quality in the service offered to customers.
