Abstract

The present research project, titled "The Use of Genially as an Interactive Didactic Resource in History Teaching: Impact on Students' Motivation and Understanding," analyzes the impact of using Genially as an interactive didactic tool on the motivation and understanding of first-year high school students in the History subject at an educational institution in Ecuador. The problem arises from students' lack of interest in History and the scarcity of digital learning resources, as well as teachers' lack of motivation to replace traditional practices with more engaging resources that could positively impact the History teaching-learning process. A quantitative approach was applied through surveys conducted with 75 students and 15 teachers. The results show an increase in motivation and an improvement in the understanding of historical content when Genially is used in the classroom. It is concluded that the use of interactive resources enhances meaningful learning and encourages active student participation.
