Proposal for a system of teaching aids for the basic clinic integration of endocrine-metabolic diseases

Introduction. The need for basic-clinical integration in the teaching-learning of Basic Biomedical Sciences in the Medicine career corresponds to contemporary trends in medical education, and the transformations of the Cuban National Health System. Objective. Develop a system of teaching aids for the basic clinical integration of metabolic endocrine diseases. Method. A technological development investigation was carried out, where theoretical methods such as historical-logical, systemic-structural and empirical were also used, as well as the documentary analysis that supports the study. Results. The system of teaching means developed, establishes a support material for teaching in the Medicine career, for students, and motivates them to search for information, and at the same time, the construction of their own knowledge, accepting a active position in their learning, the teacher acting as a facilitator of their learning, manifesting in turn the current demands of higher medical education. Conclusions. The teaching media system on endocrine-metabolic diseases, which uses information technology and communications, will allow students to develop clinical reasoning skills, on scientific bases, favoring developer learning, relating the transfer of subject contents biomedical basics and morphofunctionally basing clinical situations.
