Its proper functioning is directly related to the quality of service. Objective: To establish changes in the guidelines for the operation of the Transfusion Medicine Committee. Method: The design of the proposal for changes in the guidelines was carried out under a qualitative approach, through participatory research in the blood bank of the Comandante Pinares General Teaching Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022. It was validated by criteria of experts.
