Abstract

Tutor ethics refers to the ethical principles and standards that govern behavior and decisions in their specific field. These principles and standards are established to ensure that the tutor acts with integrity, honesty and responsibility when providing services to his students and the community. This research analyzed the student's assessment of aspects related to the ethics of the tutor in his comprehensive training for the profession and his warning regarding the influences exerted on the formation of reflective capacities during student research. The research was carried out using a mixed, qualitative and quantitative approach, for the analysis and interpretation of the student's evaluation in relation to the ethical function of the tutor. It was based on a non-experimental transactional design that covered the period from May to September 2023 with students in the eighth year of the Law Degree at UNIANDES Santo Domingo. The documentary analysis, direct observation, and survey techniques were used. It was possible to specify the characteristics of the tutor that points out to the students as important in the teacher's performance, where the responsibility, reflection and organization that the teachers have and what contribute to comprehensively training the students stand out. The role that the tutor plays in the formation of both reflection and professional ethics has been demonstrated in the opinions expressed by the students in this research
