Social and academic significance of relevant scientific works. analysis of a case

The analysis of relevant scientific works can serve different purposes. Among the main ones, scientific contributions in both scientific and methodological aspects are always included, which impact the specific field of knowledge or the interdisciplinary types from which the work is produced, as well as its influence on social, cultural, and institutional domains. Likewise, the benefits for teaching and learning processes should be considered, especially when works that initially serve as monographs in research debates also become textbooks that support pedagogical activities and facilitate the fulfillment of the pedagogical principle of the science–teaching relationship. The central objective of this study was to analyze the social, scientific, and pedagogical contributions of the book "Natural Justice and Legal Justice: Indigenous Justice in Ecuador." The methodology used in the study design is qualitative, descriptive, and analytical-explanatory, with predominant application of the methods of analysis and synthesis (at the theoretical level of knowledge) and documentary study (at the empirical level of knowledge). As the main result, the social, scientific, and pedagogical contributions of the book cited are analyzed, considering it both as a monographic work and a textbook, which leads to the conclusion that its significance for legal scientific research and educational processes in the field of Law is evident
