Mindfulness techniques as a strategy for reducing stress levels in pre-school and primary school teachers

Abstract

The objective of the research exordium is to propose mindfulness techniques as a strategy to reduce stress levels in teachers at the initial and preparatory level of the Costa Azul Educational Unit of Manta in the 2024-2025 school year. The problem is that teachers present work stress, which affects daily activities and teaching techniques with students, in addition to the lack of interest and motivation in working under pressure. From this perspective, it is emphasized to develop a technique that improves the work environment and especially the quality of life of the teachers, addressing the emotional level and the pace of actions within the work field. The methodology applied in this study was based on bibliographic, field research, with a study in the quantitative approach, which allowed measuring and quantifying the level of stress of the initial and high school teachers, on the other hand, the analytical, synthetic and statistical methods, which under the survey techniques, explicit information was collected in the study process. Regarding the results obtained, the state of stress of the teachers was verified, proposing the development of an intervention plan through mindfulness. It is concluded that the teachers want to carry out a mindfulness intervention plan with the aim of reducing stress and having a better quality of life, both work and emotional.
