Masculinity. How far will the change go?

The meaning of being a man in the contemporary world is currently a highly controversial issue, full of questions. My personal interest in discovering the truth of the above led me to studies of masculinity in Cuba, where, despite the existence of an important history of gender studies, few authors include in their studies a deep analysis of the masculine; in general, the focus is fundamentally on women's problems. From here, and taking into consideration that gender studies have taken a preferential place in the research work of numerous scientific disciplines and that gender differences continue to be present today as one of the greatest phenomena of exclusivity, the author of this research took on the task of making a diagnosis to understand the vision of the contemporary Cuban man with respect to that of decades ago and to verify if there has really been a change in the ways of thinking and acting of today's man. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with 30 men, 10 of whom were between 50 and 60 years old and 20 between 20 and 30 years old, with upper secondary education levels.
