Strategy for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders in Nursing Staff Exposed to Biomechanical Risk

Abstract

Los desórdenes musculoesqueléticos (DME) representan una de las principales causas de enfermedades laborales en el sector salud, especialmente en personal de enfermería, debido a su constante exposición a factores de riesgo biomecánico. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo elaborar una propuesta estratégica de prevención de DME en los enfermeros de la Clínica SINAI (Bosconia, Cesar), a través del diagnóstico de condiciones de trabajo, análisis de sintomatología y diseño de un sistema de vigilancia epidemiológica (SVE). Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa con enfoque deductivo, mediante encuestas, observación directa y revisión documental. Los resultados evidenciaron una alta prevalencia de síntomas musculoesqueléticos, especialmente en cuello, espalda, cadera y tobillos. El 100% del personal presentó alguna molestia en el último año. Se diseñó e implementó un SVE y se elaboró un programa de capacitaciones ergonómicas. Se concluye que el riesgo biomecánico es significativo en el entorno estudiado y urge adoptar medidas sostenibles de prevención
