Documentary review of musculoskeletal disorders in health personnel

Due to the nature of the work performed by doctors, nurses and other health care workers, they are permanently exposed to repetitive movements and forced postures, which leads to the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders, which are represented by more than 150 disorders, the most affected areas being the back, neck, shoulders and extremities. The objective of the following article is to identify the main regions affected by musculoskeletal disorders in health personnel for this study was performed bibliometric review and 52 scientific articles were found in the search to which the STROBE method was applied, of which 21 were selected from renowned journals, which were published between 2019 - 2024. It was found that the main method used for the assessment of MSDs was the Nordic questionnaire in 64%, the level of knowledge of 79%, it was concluded that the main disorders found were located in the cervical region, followed by the shoulder and lumbar region, affecting mostly the female sex being a real health problem that if awareness and prevention is not achieved, it is almost that the same erroneous practices will continue and affect more and more.
