Competencias en resolución de problemas y pensamiento computacional: un estudio en educación secundaria colombiana

Abstract

Las competencias en resolución de problemas son esenciales para el éxito académico de los estudiantes, por eso se exploran distintas estrategias que contribuyan a su desarrollo. El objetivo de esta investigación fue explicar la relación entre las competencias en resolución de problemas y el pensamiento computacional de estudiantes de séptimo grado de educación secundaria en instituciones públicas del municipio de La Estrella, Antioquia. Esta se enmarcó en el sintagma de la comprensión holística de la ciencia, aplicando el método holopráxico, en una investigación explicativa, con diseño de campo, transeccional contemporáneo, multieventual, no experimental. Como técnica se empleó la encuesta mediante dos pruebas de conocimiento para evaluar los eventos de estudio en una muestra de 230 estudiantes. Los resultados revelaron una relación positiva significativa entre estos, indicando que los estudiantes con un mayor nivel de pensamiento computacional también tienden a tener mejores competencias en la resolución de problemas y demostrando que el pensamiento computacional es una herramienta efectiva para mejorar las competencias de resolución de problemas en estudiantes de secundaria. Estos hallazgos destacan la importancia de integrar el pensamiento computacional en el currículo escolar como estrategia para fortalecer habilidades cognitivas clave, proporcionando una base para futuras investigaciones y prácticas educativas innovadoras
