Marina's Newspaper and Bohemia: looks to the militarism batistiano 1934-1936

Abstract

This essay has as objective to determine how the Marina's Newspaper and the Bohemia magazine represented the militarism of Fulgencio Batista among the years 1934 and 1936. Starting from the work with the sources could relate and to summarize the essential ideas and in their prosecution to take the most advantage of the information. The more used and reiterated words were in the Marina's Newspaper: order, disciplines, patriotism, protection, among others; while in Bohemia they used tyranny, breed, sable, crisis, cancer, among other, and in their majority used with a marked metaphoric language. The Marina's Newspaper showed its back to the colonel's Batista performance and the military ones in certain measure, because they rejected a military dictatorship. Bohemia criticized the performance of the military ones difficultly in the political life.
