Abstract

The design and implementation of inclusive community Early Warning Systems in communities of the Cuyaguateje basin offers the possibility of raising the risk perception and preparation of the population in the face of disasters, taking into account the needs of all vulnerable people in a manner especially those who are in a situation of disability, women and men, boys and girls, elderly people, to achieve the resilience of these communities. Given these highly relevant problems, it is urgent to provide basic knowledge so that the population knows how to act and prepare for the danger and risk that extreme weather events represent, provide tools and actions that will allow them to make better decisions to safeguard their lives and belongings, contributing to improve the knowledge of the population and, consequently, disaster prevention.
