Investigating the Impact of High-Performance Work Systems on Employees' Job Satisfaction: A Case Study of Sepah Bank Branches in Sistan and Baluchestan

Abstract

In today's world, organizations are critical components of countries' economic and social development. In the meantime, human resources are one of the most vital organizational assets and play an essential role in the performance and success of organizations. High-performance work systems will have a strategic approach that influences the macro variables of the organization, such as the organization's performance and human resources achievements. Therefore, this study examines the impact of High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) on employee job satisfaction within Sepah Bank branches in Sistan and Baluchestan province. Employing a quantitative approach, data was collected from 245 employees using validated questionnaires, and their content validity was confirmed. Cronbach's alpha was used to measure reliability, and it was calculated as 0.84 for the work systems questionnaire and 0.78 for the job satisfaction questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential tests (Smirinov-Kolmogrov and linear regression) were used to analyze the data using SPSS software. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between HPWS components (selection, training, rewards, empowerment, and job security) and job satisfaction. The study highlights managerial implications by recommending HR strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and performance. However, limitations include reliance on self-reported data and excluding potential moderating factors.
