Abstract

English Abstract: The low level of competitiveness and innovativeness of Polish economy encourages various entities to seek ways change this situation. One way is to promote and implement activities under the so-called academic entrepreneurship. This concept can foster commercialization of knowledge created in universities. The article attempts to entry barriers to this concept into practice. For this purpose were used the results of studies conducted at five universities in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Barriers were identified in six major areas, including: mental barriers, competence barriers, organizational barriers, legal barriers, financial barriers and demand barriers.
